MeowMemo records your cat's everyday life locally on your device. This policy explains how the App handles that information.
1. We do not collect your App data
This version requires no MeowMemo account and includes no cloud sync, advertising, third-party analytics or tracking, or online AI generation. It does not upload cat photos, diaries, care, supply, expense or health records to developer servers.
2. Information kept on your device
The App stores information you choose to enter or select: cat profile details; photos; feeding, water, litter, play, grooming, health and weight records; edited diaries; supplies, purchase amounts and expiry dates; and vaccine, checkup, medication and deworming plans. Language, current-cat and card preferences are also handled locally.
3. Currency and weight presentation
New expenses use the ISO currency associated with your device Region. Every expense keeps its currency code, and totals containing unlike currencies are shown separately. MeowMemo does not request exchange rates or convert amounts. Weight is stored as kilograms in the local health record; U.S. regions may enter and view pounds through an on-device display conversion. Changing language or Region does not rewrite existing facts.
4. Photos, camera and sharing
- The system photo picker gives the App only the images you choose; the App does not browse your entire library.
- Camera permission is requested when you choose to take a photo.
- Originals stay in the App's private storage. A resized local copy is made for the Small widget.
- Identity cards and diary share cards are rendered on your device. Add-only Photos permission is requested when you explicitly save an identity card to Photos.
- When you choose Share, iOS hands the temporary image to your selected share destination. MeowMemo does not automatically publish it.
5. Widgets
The App and widget share only the local data they need through Apple's App Group. Small uses resized photos and rotation information. Medium opens six care forms and does not read photos, pet names, reminders or daily care summaries. Opening a form does not save a record; you must confirm inside the App.
6. Apple purchases, system backups and other services
This version allows up to three cat profiles for free and does not offer a More Cats purchase. Existing cat profiles are not deleted. Cat photos, diaries, care records and local profiles remain on this device.
MeowMemo provides no in-App cloud sync. Whether Apple's device backup includes App data depends on your device and backup settings. This is separate from developer data collection. After you choose a share destination, its handling of the shared image is governed by that destination's own policy.
7. Editing and deleting data
Use the App's available edit and delete controls to manage records. Deleting the App removes its local database and original photos. A Home Screen widget may briefly retain its last cached display before it becomes unavailable or requests another sync. There is no developer cloud account to delete.
8. Children's privacy
MeowMemo is not specifically designed for children. It has no public social feed, stranger chat or user-content community and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
9. Changes to this policy
If future versions introduce accounts, cloud sync, subscriptions, third-party analytics or online processing, we will update this policy before enabling those features and publish the effective date.
